Types of accommodation?
What kind of accommodation we’re going to have during our multi-day events? Here you can find information about the different kinds of accommodation that we use for our programs.
Hotel
Hotel room for 2-4 people. Heating, bathroom with hot water, electricity. According to the destination, we choose the hotels so that they provide the best level of comfort at a competitive price. This is the best type of accommodation where we will have the most comfort and personal space. Usually hotels offer breakfast and an optional dinner. This will be mentioned for the specific reservation.
Hostel
Dormitory style rooms for 6-12 people, usually with a shared bathroom and toilets. Good heating, electricity, hot water. In a hostel we will have warm and clean beds, but we will need to share the space with a bigger group of people. Usually breakfast is included.
Mountain hut
Dormitory style rooms. Some huts offer smaller rooms for 2-4 people or bigger rooms with 6-12 beds. There is electricity (sometimes limited), heating, toilets. Bathroom with hot water is not present in each hut. Food is on offer. Some huts offer clean bed linen, in others we might need to bring a sleeping liner for better hygiene. The conditions from hut to hut might vary significantly. For each of our events we will provide detailed information about the hut where we will be staying.
Mountain refuge
A refuge is a small mountain hut, often without a guardian/hut keeper. They have a common dormitory style sleeping area. No or very limited electricity, as well as running water. Some refuges might have a nearby water source. They are usually not heated. Some refuges offer food, but with only basic supplies. It’s recommended to bring a sleeping liner for a better personal hygiene or a sleeping bag, in case we expect a cold night. For each of our events we will provide detailed information about the refuge where we will be staying.
What is the validity of vouchers?
In case anything else is mentioned, vouchers are valid during the tourist season, for which they have been purchased. The summer tourist season is between the months of April and November and the winter season is between December and April.
