The Magic of Pirin – Hiking to Vihren Peak
Dive into the magic of Pirin National park with a one-day ascent of Mount Vihren 2914 m – the mighty ruler of the Pirin mountain and the third highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula!
With each step, you will get closer to the summit, where the beauty of nature meets the grandeur of karst landscape. A big part of the National Park is under the protection of UNESCO World Heritage.

Previous hiking experience is required. Although fitness is generally not a problem a suitable level of fitness is still required.
ITINERARY:
- An early transfer from Bansko will bring us to Vihren hut 1950 m. Transfer time: 30 min.
- We gather at Vihren Hut, ready for a memorable journey! We will start with a gradual ascent, enjoying panoramic views of the entire Bunderishka Valley and the beautiful Todorka. This section of the route will enchant us with picturesque landscapes. From Vihren peak we will have impressive views and be able to admire the majestic karst ridge and the mysterious “Konche”.
- Transfer back to Bansko. Transfer time: 30 min.
- Day summary: 8 km. 7-8 hrs. Ascent/Descent: +1000 / -1000 m.
Price: 1 person: 190 Euro; 2 persons: 110 Euro pp; 3 persons: 90 Euro pp; 4-8 persons: 70 Euro pp.
