Climb Todorka peak in Pirin via its Northern Ridge – Alpine climbing for beginners
Todorka peak 2746 m asl is the queen of Pirin mountains, situated in between its giants and overlooking Bansko ski resort. Todorka’s North ridge is a fairly easy alpine climb, suitable for beginners. From the top, we will traverse along the ridge connecting Todorka with Malka Todorka peak and we will enjoy picturesque panoramas to the entire Pirin mountain range.

Dates: 14 December 2025 ; 3 & 18 January 2026
Difficulty level: Beginners
You need to be in good physical condition – mountaineering activity for about 2-3 hours with altitude gains between 200-300 m. Suitable for first time alpine climbers for people with no experience in walking with crampons and an ice axe.
ITINERARY:
- Day 0:
- Meeting in Bansko. Gear check. Planning and preparation for the climb.
Night in Bansko. - Day 1:
- Early morning meeting in Bansko and driving to our exit point near Bansko ski slopes. Our climb starts at the foot of Todorka. We will climb Todorka, traverse to Malka Todorka (Small Todorka) and then we will return back the same way.
Hiking time: 3 hrs Vertical gain: +200/-200m.
