Full day Snowshoeing tour to Seven Rila lakes
Come to this beautiful snowshoeing tour into the backcountry of Rila mountains for a day of active exploring!
The Rila Mountains are the highest in Bulgaria and The Balkan Peninsula with Mount Musala – 2925 m. A big part of the National Park is under the protection of UNESCO.
If you have never been snowshoeing in winter or you search of different activity than skiing or want to explore Bulgarian mountains, then this is the trip for you! Join for this day-trip to snowshoeing tour around Seven Rila lakes in the Rila Mountains! The view is absolutely breath-taking.

Best period: January – April
No previous snowshoeing experience is required. Although fitness is generally not a problem a suitable level of fitness is still required.
ITINERARY:
- An early transfer from your Bansko accommodation will bring us to Pionerska hut 1600 m. Transfer time: 2-2:30 hrs.
- There we take the chair lift to Rila lakes hut 2000 m. Lift time: 30-40 min.
- Hiking from Rila lakes hut around the lakes. We take a little rest before going back to Rila lakes hut. Hiking time: 4 hrs.
- Down with the chair lift to Pionerska hut. Lift time: 30-40 min.
- Transfer back to Bansko. Transfer time: 2-2:30 hrs.
Price: 1 person: 280 Euro; 2 persons: 150 Euro pp; 3 persons: 110 Euro pp; 4-8 persons: 100 Euro pp.
In order to book your place, a 50% deposit is required.

Private transfer from your accommodation in Sofia or Bansko, English-speaking UIMLA certified mountain guide, snowshoes and poles, chair lift ticket.
Price does not include:
Food, drinks, insurance, other personal expenses.
Necessary equipment:
- Appropriate clothing
- Appropriate backpack (around 30L)
- Comfortable shoes for winter trekking
- Sun glasses
- Bottle for water
- Food for the day
- Mountain insurance
Important information:
- The trip will be guided by certified UIMLA mountain guides.
- Maximum 8 participants per 1 guide.
- Minimum number of participants: 1 Maximum participants: 8.
- The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the itinerary and location in case of bad weather or snow conditions.
