Rock climbing at Vratsa Gordge
Vratsa Gorge is an iconic venue for Bulgarian climbers and the biggest climbing area in the country. Here there is a huge variety of sport and traditional climbing routes of any grade, making it an ideal place for both beginner and advanced climbers. The limestone walls have seen countless climbing adventures since the dawn of Bulgarian alpinism.
We offer you a day of rock climbing at the Vratsa Gorge that includes one or two multi pitch routes, which we will choose according to the participants’ experience and abilities. The routes are of average length of 3-5 pitches (about 100 vertical meters). The approaches vary between 0 and 20 minutes from the car park

Difficulty level: Beginners – Intermediate
Best period: April-May; September-November
It is suitable bot for experienced climbers or beginners, with no previous rock climbing experience.
ITINERARY:
- Early morning departure from Sofia to Vratsa or meeting directly in Vratsa
- Gear check and briefing
- Approach to the climbing route (5 to 20 minutes)
- Instruction and preparing for climbing
- Climbing one or several multi-pitch routes, depending on the group level and preference (3-5 hours)
- We will have a lunch break in between routes
- Back to the cars in the afternoon and departure to Sofia
Price for 1 participant: 508,50 BGN/260 EUR
Price for 2 participants: 557,40 BGN/285 EUR

Important information
- The event is lead by a qualified Alpine mountain guide
- Maximum 2 participants per 1 guide.
- Minimum number of participants: 1 Maximum participants: 4.
- We can help you to acquire the equipment if you are missing anything.
- Possibility of organized transport upon prior request.
- You must have valid mountain insurance for the day of the event.
- In case of inappropriate weather conditions the organizers reserve the right to cancel or change the dates of the event.
