Backcountry Splitboard and ski touring in Pirin mountains

During these 2 days we will climb some of the prominent peaks in Pirin mountains in search of some good turns. Example itineraries might be: Hvoynati, Dautov, Donchovi Karauli, Todorka & more. We will decide where to go after we evaluate current snow conditions.

Dates: 24-25 January; 31.01-1 ; 7-8 ; 21-21 February; 7-8 ; 21-22 March 2026

Difficulty level: Intermediate – Advanced

Good physical condition is required. Participants must have good level of skiing or snowboarding in off piste terrain.
Some experience in ski/splitboard touring is required.

ITINERARY:

  • Day 0: Friday
  • Arrival and accommodation
    Gear check and route planning.
  • Day 1: Saturday
  • Meeting at 08:00 and departure for our starting point for the day.
    Back in Bansko in the afternoon.
  • Day 2: Sunday
  • Meeting at 08:00 and departure for our starting point for the day.

Price for two days: 273.81 BGN / 140 Euro
Daily price: 145 BGN / 74 Euro
Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum participants: 12

Price includes:

Guiding services with certified splitboard / ski guide.* Guide / client ratio 1:6

Price does not include:

Accommodation*, Splitboard / Ski Touring equipment, avalanche gear – mandatory, lift pass, food, transportation, insurance.


Necessary equipment:

  • Splitboard or touring skis + poles*
  • Avalanche equipment (Transceiver, shovel, probe)*
  • Appropriate backpack (around 30L)
  • Crampons (lightweight ones if possible)*
  • Appropriate clothing (Gore Tex jacket & pants, down jacket, fleece, thermal underwear)
  • Gloves, 2 pairs
  • Sun glasses, sunscreen
  • Ski helmet
  • Medical insurance

Important information:

  • The groups will be guided by certified splitboard / ski guides.
  • Maximum 6 participants per 1 Guide.
  • Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum participants: 12.
  • In the in case that you do not have some of the equipment, we can assist in providing it for rent or purchase.
  • Equipment rentals for two days: Splitboard and poles – 133 BGN/68 €, snowshoes and poles – 40 BGN/20 €, avalanche equipment – 60 BGN/30 €, touring ski – 133 BGN/68 €.
  • We can recommend a family guesthouse in Bansko.
  • We reserve the right to make changes to itinerary, dates and location in case of bad or inappropriate weather conditions.
