Freeride and Backcountry camp @ Brezovica
Join us for a trip to one of the hidden gems in the Balkans. Brezovica is a ski resort at the foot of Shar mountains that is not very popular, but provides access to some very impressive terrain for freeriding and ski touring. During our camp we will use the lifts as well as our touring skis and splitboards to get to the good snow around Brezovica resort and the Prevala area.
A basic experience in off piste terrain is required for all participants in this trip. You need to be in a good physical condition for tours of up to 4 hours.

Good physical condition is required. Good technique for off piste skiing or snowboarding.
ITINERARY:
- Day 1:
- Early start from Sofia or Bansko with our van. We will arrive at midday to Brezovica ski resort and we will use the afternoon to warm up – we will do a few laps around the resort using the lifts or do a short tour. In the evening we will do a recap of the day and plan the next day. Accommodation at hotel in Brezovica ski resort.
- Day 2-5:
- 9 AM – 16 PM Freeride/Touring days. We will plan each day on the night before according to weather forecast & conditions.
- Day 6:
- Optional half freeride day if conditions are good. We depart for Sofia around midday. Arrival in Sofia in the evening.
Necessary Equipment:
- Splitboard or touring skis + poles*
- Avalanche equipment (Transceiver, shovel, probe)*
- Appropriate backpack (around 30L)
- Crampons (lightweight ones if possible)*
- Appropriate clothing (Gore Tex jacket & pants, down jacket, fleece, thermal underwear)
- Gloves, 2 pairs
- Sun glasses, sunscreen
- Ski helmet

In order to book your place, a 50% deposit is required. Full amount is due by 30 January 2026.

– Mountain guide (maximum 1-6 guide to client ratio)*

– Lift pass or ticket (between 5 and 25 euros per day)
– Lunch, dinner, drinks & snacks
– Insurance
Important information:
- The trip groups will be guided by certified splitboard guides Nikolay Pavlov – Nikyata and Pavel Peev
- Maximum 6 participants per 1 guide.
- Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum participants: 10.
- In the in case that you do not have some of the equipment, we can assist in providing it for rent or purchase.
- The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the itinerary and location in case of bad weather or snow conditions.
- Price is calculated according to fuel rates in June 2025. If there are any significant changes in price, we reserve the right to adjust our fee accordingly.
