Splitboard and Ski camp in Aosta valley, Italy
Let’s open the winter season together and celebrate Christmas in the foothills of the Mont Blanc!
Join us for our Splitboard and Ski camp in Aosta valley, Italy. In search of good snow, we’ll get familiar with some of the many valleys and ridges in the area. Our basecamp will be nearby the town of Aosta and every morning we are to travel to the destination chosen for the day (the rides will be approximately 30-40 min). If the weather conditions are good, we will hop on one of the most impressive lift installations in Europe – Skyway Monte Bianco, which will take us to Punta Helbronner, 3 500 m.

Difficulty level: Medium – Advanced
You need to be in a good physical condition. Good level of off piste skiing or snowboarding. During the ski touring days we will do 600-1000 m of vertical gain (3-5 hours of walking). Good skills in skiing or snowboarding off-piste is a must.
ITINERARY:
- Day 1:
- Leaving Sofia with a van. Staying in Slovenia for the night.
- Day 2:
- Deaprture from Slovenia to Aosta, arriving at the basecamp for the next 6 days.
- Day 3-8:
- Splitboard and Ski touring in the area of Aosta valley.
- Day 9:
- Heading back to Bulgaria. Staying in Slovenia for the night.
- Day 10:
- Departure from Slovenia to Bulgaria. Arrival in Sofia.
Necessary equipment:
- Splitboard or touring skis + poles*
- Avalanche equipment (Transceiver, shovel, probe)*
- Appropriate backpack (around 30L)
- Crampons (lightweight ones if possible)*
- • Ice axe (lightweights one is preferred)*
- • Harness (lightweight ski mountaineering harness works best)*
- • Sling and a carabiner*
- Appropriate clothing (Gore Tex jacket & pants, down jacket, fleece, thermal underwear)
- Gloves, 2 pairs
- Sun glasses, ski goggles
- Ski helmet

*Accommodation is in a guest house with common rooms. The place is relatively new, well maintained, clean and the staff is friendly. We can offer alternatives in case you prefer sleeping in a private hotel room.

Important information:
- The trip groups will be guided by certified splitboard guides.
- Maximum 6 participants per 1 guide.
- Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum participants: 10.
- In the in case that you do not have some of the equipment, we can assist in providing it for rent or purchase.
- The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the itinerary and location in case of bad weather or snow conditions.
